Unshakeable
The Thessalonians had a lot going for them, but they were short on hope. Our first message in this series introduces us to a young church struggling to be hopeful in seemingly hopeless times.
Trust Before Timing
Paul explains to the Thessalonians that God will demonstrate His righteous justice through his positive (promises) and negative (consequences).
Anticipation
Jesus made it clear that we will not know in advance the time of His return. He made it equally clear that He will come back. How should we live while we wait for that day?
The Antichrist
During the tribulation, the "man of lawlessness" – the antichrist – will come to power on the earth. What we understand about him and about that time should shape the way we live now.
The Final Chapter
The Bible gives us more insight about the events that will occur after Jesus returns than most of us realize. What we do with that knowledge can make an eternal difference in our lives and the lives of others.
Renewed Confidence
What causes your faith to get shaky? Paul gives the Thessalonians, and us, some wise instruction on how to stand firm – with confidence – in God's redemptive plan.
Hard Work and Tough Love
Paul's final words to the Thessalonians concern a problem in the church that needed to be addressed. Are we willing to practice tough love – and to receive it – when necessary?
